Slitting steel, stainless steel, or aluminum coils in strip slitting systems causes extreme cutting forces to act on the rotary shear blades. Without targeted lubrication, this leads to increased tool wear, material build-up on the knives, and a deterioration in the quality of the cutting edges. Conventional manual or continuous lubrication is often imprecise, inefficient, and leads to excessive contamination of the machine and material.
